Speymalt from Macallan Distillery

Nose without Water Very rich, Sherry and mulled fruits. Sweet, toffee aromas with touches of honey and beeswax. Hints of cinnamon and aniseed. Palate without Water Rich, sweet Sherry with charred oak flavours. Traces of treacle and fruitcake. Subtle smokiness developing. Nose with Water Strong wood elements - teak oil, camphor, with Sherry aromas slowly coming to the fore. Spices with some citrus peel and marmalade. Palate with Water Smoky initially with Sherry wood and hints of cloves. Charred oak and toasted malt flavours combine with resinous, dried fruit. Body A “big” complex malt. Finish Sweet Sherry with treacle toffee notes.
